Christmas 2026 at The Prince of Wales, Iffley

Looking for a place to celebrate Christmas in Oxford? The Prince of Wales is a historic pub a short walk from the River Thames, and at this time of year it's one of the cosiest spots in the city to get together. Everything on our festive menus is cooked from scratch in our kitchen using produce from trusted local suppliers.

Christmas Day lunch in Oxford

Leave the cooking to us this Christmas Day. Our three course Christmas Day menu is £80 per adult and £40 per child under 12, with dishes including shellfish risotto, beef short rib bao bun, roast turkey, rosemary lamb rump, whole Cornish lemon sole and leek and mushroom lasagne. Tea or coffee, mince pies and Christmas crackers are included.

Tables are available at 12pm or 1:30pm and the pub closes at 4pm. A deposit of £25 per adult and £15 per child is needed by 1st December, and pre-orders by 8th December.

Christmas Parties in Oxford

Our Christmas party menu is £34 for two courses or £40 for three. Start with cured salmon, crispy confit chicken or mushroom soup, then choose from roast turkey with all the trimmings, pork loin chop, sea bass or maple roasted squash. Finish with homemade Christmas pudding, a double chocolate brownie or apple and raisin crumble. Tea or coffee, mince pies and Christmas crackers are included.

We can section off an area of the pub so your group gets a more private space, whether it's a work do or a family get together.

Dogs and children are welcome, and there's a car park and beer garden too.
